June 13, 2015, 4:00pm - The 4th Annual Flag Day 5K road race will start and end at Cashman Park in Newburyport. This 5K walk, run, or jog will go through the streets of Newburyport and end right on the water. Everyone who registers will receive an official Flag Day 5K t-shirt along with a complementary beer (21+ only with valid identification). We hope to see you there. November 29, 2015 3:30-5pm - As the holiday season approaches, Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive in the most fitting way for this seaport town... by US Coast Guard boat! Welcome Santa on the Sunday after Thanksgiving as he and Mrs. Claus dock at the boardwalk and begin to parade through downtown Newburyport, then gather in Market Square for the annual Christmas tree lighting and carols.

The Newburyport Guide is proud to bring you this Halloween Ball that will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Merrimack Valley that has dedicated themselves to providing education, programs, and sports to over 500 children in the surrounding communities.

The Boys and Girls Club’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those that need them the most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. They provide social, educational, health, leadership, and character development of boys and girls during critical periods of their growth!
Join us in October for what is sure to be a spooktacular time!
